Planning a playground for Early Childhood
Early childhood includes: Kindergartens, Plunkets, Childcare and Preschools.

Playground design for early childhood needs to encompass the very essence of 'play' children need to be mentally and physically stimulated.  Park Supplies have put a lot of thought and research into the design of our early childhood playgrounds - each playground includes a variety of the following:

Role Play and Adventure, Height Stimulation, Upper Body Climbers and Overheads
Motion Activities: Slides, Spinning, Steering Wheels and passive activities such as fixed poles and climbers

Access is a very import key to all playgrounds we make sure there are enough stair unit handrails and if required ramps for wheelchairs.

Junior - School Playgrounds
Junior equipment like Early Childhood needs to mentally and physically stimulating for the child while still being fun.  We have put alot of research and development in to the design of all our playground activities to measure challenge & fitness

Senior - School Playgrounds
Senior playground design needs to be fun, exciting and safe with mentally and physically challenging activities.  This can include the use of high platforms with climbers; a typical senior playground has alot of upper body and overhead activities to strengthen the childs body and increase fitness levels.

Community Playgrounds
Community playgrounds are fun and thrilling play, most school playgrounds are designed with challenge, fitness and physical activity in mind all of which are extremely important.  A community playground however, is different as it includes equipment like slides, tunnels, swing units and freestanding equipment such as roundabouts, seesaws and spinners.

Activities
Make a list of all the activities you would like on your new playground from our categorized activity list.  Keep in mind access is very important on a playground and lots of ladders, poles, climbers, overheads and enclosures.
